Terms of Service
Last updated: May 2025
1. What MCP Playground Is
MCP Playground is a free, browser-based developer tool for testing Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers. You paste an MCP server URL, bring your own AI provider API key, and chat with AI models while watching MCP tools get called in real time. Think of it as Postman for MCP.
The service runs entirely in your browser and on Cloudflare's edge network. We do not require accounts, logins, or any personal information to use the core playground features.
2. No Account, No Login
The MCP Playground does not require you to create an account. There is no authentication, no user profiles, and no persistent user identity. Your session is identified by a randomly generated ID stored in your browser's localStorage. We do not collect, store, or process any personal data through the playground.
3. Your API Keys
To use AI models, you provide your own API keys from providers like Anthropic, Google AI, OpenAI, or others via Cloudflare AI Gateway. These keys are sent directly from your browser to our server for each request and are never stored, logged, or persisted on our infrastructure. You are responsible for the usage and costs incurred through your own API keys.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the MCP Playground responsibly. Do not use the service to:
- Connect to MCP servers you do not have permission to access
- Send spam, malicious content, or attempt to abuse connected MCP servers
- Attempt to bypass rate limits, security measures, or authentication of any connected service
- Use the service for illegal activities or in violation of any applicable laws
- Overload or disrupt our infrastructure through excessive automated requests
5. Third-Party Services
The MCP Playground connects to third-party MCP servers and AI providers that you specify. We do not control, endorse, or assume responsibility for any third-party services, their data handling practices, or the content they return. You are responsible for reviewing the terms and privacy policies of any third-party services you connect to.
6. Service Availability
MCP Playground is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We make no guarantees about uptime, reliability, or the continued availability of any features. We may modify or discontinue the service at any time without notice.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MCP Playground and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. This includes but is not limited to data loss, service interruptions, third-party API charges, or any damages resulting from MCP server interactions.
8. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version will always be available at this URL. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
